Coalfields Regeneration Trust - Community Grants Level 2

Description

The Coalfields Regeneration Trust (CRT) is an independent grant making organisation established in 1999 to improve the quality of life for people living in Britain's coalfield communities.

CRT award grants and invest in programmes of work that make a difference to communities facing significant challenges as a result of the decline of the coal mining industry. Since 1999 the Trust has invested over £200 million in these communities. They currently have funding available to support activity up to 31st March 2013.

Eligible activity

Projects must address one of the key funding themes including access to employment, education and skills and health and wellbeing.

Capital and revenue projects are welcome with a particular focus on capital projects.

Exclusions

Individuals and private businesses cannot apply for funding.

Applications that do not meet Coalfields funding themes or charitable objectives will not be accepted. Projects must not be outside eligible Coalfields communities.

Available funding

The programme provides grants from £10,000 to £100,000.

Who can apply

Applications will be accepted from voluntary community groups, social enterprise organisations, Community Interest Companies, statutory organisations and branches of national organisations.
