Whole Sport Plan

Sport England funds national governing bodies to deliver their three outcomes - grow, sustain and excel and provides additional support to help them achieve this. Each sport has developed a Whole Sport Plan that explains how it plans to achieve these targets. This summary also helps partners identify possible opportunities to work together.

The Wheelchair Rugby Whole Sport Plan will be available soon.

General information

Are you up for a challenge? Fancy a nail-biting, seat-gripping, full contact wheelchair sport? Well...you've come to the right place. Wheelchair rugby's not nicknamed 'murderball' for nothing you know!

It's open to men and women - whatever your age. If you have upper and lower limb disabilities and a thirst for action, then maybe it's about time you gave wheelchair rugby a shot.

And there are loads of opportunities to play your part on the sidelines too. Coaches, officials and people who can give a hand in clubs across the UK are also needed - click here to find your local club.

You can get involved as little or as much as you want - you can volunteer a couple of hours a week, play in the Coloplast League or sponsor GBWR. And in return - on court or on the sidelines - you'll be part of an exciting and supportive sporting community which is making a real difference to the lives of its players and the wider disability community.
